Case studies

Delivered experience, reference patterns and clear boundaries.

The examples distinguish implemented client work from reusable architecture patterns. Client identity and sensitive implementation details remain confidential.

Implemented

Reverse-engineered ECS recovery without an initial IaC baseline.

A live AWS container environment was discovered and translated into Terraform so the wider recovery landscape could be recreated rather than relying on data restoration alone. The implementation used a controlled manual failover path around the client's ECS dependencies.

Boundary: This result describes one scoped implementation, not a guarantee for another estate. Database RPO remained governed separately.

Reusable pattern

Turn years of console-driven change into modular Terraform.

The pattern inventories the agreed estate through Boto3, builds a neutral intermediate model and replaces raw identifiers with deployable Terraform references. Validation starts with the network foundation.

Architecture pattern

Select the newest trustworthy artifact—not merely the newest artifact.

Each production-derived package lands in quarantine, passes integrity and policy checks, is applied in isolation and completes network, data and application tests. Incident recovery selects the newest approved package before the compromise boundary.

Adjacent proof point

Canary migration from Amazon Linux 2 to Amazon Linux 2023.

A reversible capacity-provider pattern introduces a second Auto Scaling group, begins with 90/10 placement, validates in development, then advances through 25%, 50% and 100%. EFS-backed state remains independent of host generation.
